Laura Kissinger

Laura is an American abstract artist and painter. Drawing from her military upbringing and bi-coastal travelings, she translates her childhood relocations into expressive environments teetering between calm and chaos, discovery and disruption.

Her paintings explore spontaneity, beauty, joy, decomposition and rhythmic patterns found in the natural elements and within. Sourcing inspiration from bodies of water and topography, she uses colors and layering to create a sense of light and movement.

Her paintings are mixed media, with a focus on gestural, intuitive mark-making. At its core, Laura's work is an expressive play between shapes, lines, and colors - an inquiry of places she navigates and those yet to explore.
